The IT Governance, Compliance and Controls Specialist works with the Global Director of IT Governance, Compliance and Controls and his/her staff to provide guidance and support in the creation and maintenance of internal policies, standards and Information Technology practices.
The IT Governance, Compliance and Controls Specialist is directly responsible for all aspects of documentation and communication of Information Technology related policies, standards and operating practices. The position holder works with global information technology Subject Matter Experts to make certain that Information Technology environments and data are configured and protected in a manner consistent with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
The position holder is an integral part of the policy and operating effectiveness assurance process. He/she plays a critical role in providing advice and guidance to IT personnel related to business risk and control standards. Overall the IT Governance, Compliance and Controls Specialist is the central figure and expert on IT standards and control objectives.
