Brand Marketing/Sales Manager
Active Tools International, Ltd a market leader in Tire Repair Kits for Automobile Manufacturers seeks an Entrepreneurial candidate to lead efforts in developing our “AirMan” line of Aftermarket products for the North American markets.
Partner with Senior Management to articulate a differentiated competitive offering, architect an integrated brand development strategy, and execute the marketing plan. Has end-end marketing responsibility across the product lifecycle. Lead and leverage a wide variety of offline and online marketing vehicles and touch points across eBusiness (Web site content, data/tools and infrastructure), Social Media Marketing (CRM analytics, email, direct mail), advertising (trade print, paid search, digital advertising), Event Marketing (conferences and tradeshows) and Creative Services (graphic design, production and fulfillment)
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Brand positioning: Conduct and/or coordinate competitive strategic analysis, consumer segmentation, and client insight development to position the AirMan brand
2. Secure and manage sales relationships with Key Distributors/Customers of Aftermarket products
3. Marketing communications strategy: Plan, strategize and execute marketing programs to establish and maintain brand strength and presence in the market
4. Oversee the development, utilization and maintenance of company web sites, including all site content, all data/tools and infrastructure in partnership with IT and lead all social media efforts
5. Creative Services: Oversee outsourced design, production and fulfillment studio including creation of all North American sales literature
6. Event Marketing: Oversee proprietary and sponsored event marketing activities, including our strategic approach to and presence at key industry conferences
7. Advertising: Oversee all trade advertising program strategies including media planning and creative development across print, digital, broadcast and paid search vehicles
8. Coordinate marketing collateral development (print and electronic), including limited graphic design, vendor selection, copywriting, hiring of freelance designers, printing, proofing, delivery, inventory control, distribution, cost analyses, and return on investment for AirMan campaigns and programs
Job Requirements:
* Minimum of 10 years sales and marketing experience in brand marketing/sales for consumer products company, preferably servicing automotive aftermarket, hardware, or specialty retail distribution channels
* Entrepreneurial leadership skills and a proven ability to motivate and manage marketing professionals (internally and externally) to achieve outstanding results.
* Demonstrated strategic marketing, planning and distribution strategy capabilities
* Demonstrated strong creative skills in guiding and articulating brand essence
* Strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket or “mass merchant” hand tool industry, retail distribution, product marketing management and distribution positioning.
* Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to identify and promote the development of communications talent within a limited Global staff.
* Outstanding project management and written and oral communications skills.
* BA required, MBA a plus.
