Walsh College is repeating its monthly social media webinar series, and this month we’re offering a LinkedIn 201 session. We’ll be repeating LinkedIn 101 again in March. This session is designed for LinkedIn users who have established accounts and are looking to further expand and supercharge your profile and networking efforts. This session will take you beyond the basics to help you further extend your network and tap into the power of LinkedIn.
RECOMMENDED CRITERIA (suggested, but not required to attend)
o 20+ connections
o Profile: 75%+ complete
o 1+ recommendations on your profile
o Familiar with “Answers” section of LinkedIn
o Member of 5+ groups
o Regularly post and read status updates

Most of these seminars will be in 2 parts, the first part will be my usual seminar, it is a in-depth how to seminar on how to apply for government jobs and how to navigate USAJOBS. Detroit area employers: Find your next employee at LiveWorkDetroit!
LiveWorkDetroit! showcases Detroit as the place for Michigan’s college graduates and young professionals to live and work. Detroit is one of the hottest and hippest places in the country and LiveWorkDetroit! gives participants the opportunity to see it in person and to hear it directly from employers eager to hire the best and brightest. LiveWorkDetroit! Detroit Emerging November 18th focuses on fast growth companies, social entrepreneurs, government, nonprofits, and volunteerism. Employer networking is scheduled from 1pm-3:30pm at the Masonic Temple. Your $50 registration includes lunch, electronic access to student resumes, and a table at the career networking segment of our program. Tentative agenda is attached. The U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) invite all Veterans and people with disabilities who are interested in applying for federal jobs to register and participate in this Virtual Hiring Event on November 3, 2011.
