Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit is seeking a Crew Leader for the Industrial Division which is located at 3111 Grand River Ave., Detroit, MI 48208. The position is full-time, hourly. Coordinates the building of customer finished goods items, plus sorting, inspection, reclamation and packaging for shipment to customer. Maintains records of production built, personnel used and inventory. Performs direct labor tasks as required. Employees may be assigned to work cells supporting Chrysler, General Motors, Ford and/or SASO.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Six (6) month experience in a light industrial environment; material handler and inventory process experience helpful.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

1. Ability to read and write legibly; and understand process documents.

2. Understand and follow multiple instructions: verbal and written.

3. Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate work assignments among assigned staff.

4. Basic knowledge of computers and ability to use, understand and interpret visual or other types of job aids.

5. Ability to distinguish between parts, determine correct part numbers.

6. Ability to write reports and maintain production records, while incorporating basic math skills.

7. Ability to acquire Hi-lo license within 90 days of hire.

8. Ability to understand Production Schedules, standard pack and packaging specifications.

9. Ability to determine and react to changing priorities.
