Big 3 Automotive Organization seeks Controls, Conveyors, Robotics & Welding professionals open to contracting at Plant/Manufacturing sites NATIONWIDE

General Purpose of Position:

This individual is expected to solve complex engineering problems, supervise groups of manufacturing professionals, and provide guidance to less experienced staff. Controls, robotics or welding experience outside the major field is desirable.

Contractors needed for a variety of projects at Plant Sites Nationwide – Per Diem available.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Reviews welding product and process designs for compliance to applicable standards.

Works with other engineering disciplines to resolve standards compliance issues.

Tryout, verification and debug welding systems, tools and equipment.

Provide technical support for training of plant personnel.

Travel to plant sites as required

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient working with resistance welding hardware and software, proficient with manual and automoatic GMAW, or proficient with laser welding.

Proficient with common Windows computer programs and Web.

WIDS – (GM weld information database system).

WESS – (GM weld equipment selection system).

Roboload Training.

Proficient with advanced Unigraphics functions.

Proficient with AutoCAD.

High level of oral and written communications skills.

High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

Familiarity with basic electrical standards.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.

High level of analytical ability where problems are ususual or difficult.

High level of creativity and initiative.

High level of independent judgement.
