A market leading manufacturer of medium duty commercial trucks is seeking a HR Generalist to join their team.

Title:               HR Generalist
Duration:        Contract in consideration to Direct (3-6month contract)
Pay Rate:        $20-$25/HR
Location:        Farmington Hills, MI
An affiliated company of the Toyota Motor Corporation, they have held the number one position in the medium/heavy duty commercial truck market in Japan for the past 31 years and produces a wide range of commercial vehicles and supplies trucks and buses to many countries throughout the world.

Duties Include: (include but not limited to)

·         Recruiting Functions for the company, including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, interviews, hiring and new employee orientation.
·         7-10 positions being recruited at one time,
·         Event Planning, Community Relations and Public Relations events, including out-of-state events.
·         ADP Payroll including processing payroll on a bi-monthly basis and assisting Accounting with monthly reconciliations.
·         Process all 401K funding for the entire company, including running reports from ADP payroll systems and assisting Accounting with reconciliations as well as processing census data, compliance issues and preliminary ADP/ACP testing.
·         Assist with all additional HR functions, including but not limited to: personnel document maintenance, performance evaluations, safety, and other employee relations.
·         Serve as Fleet Manager for over 25 company vehicles (MI office), coordinating their lease payments and negotiations, scheduling maintenance and handling all accident reports and insurance claims.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources management or related
  • 4+ years of experience in HR (or combination of education and experience)
  • Good working knowledge of HR and employment law
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skill with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of integrity and judgment
