A local Michigan company who specializes in heat treatment furnaces and related equipment design, manufacture, and installation is currently seeking a Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in their Novi facility!  This position is direct hire, with great career growth opportunities and great benefits!

Salary is based on education and experience, but is anticipated to be between $85-95k/year, possibly more for extremely qualified candidates.  This position will also pay straight time overtime starting after40 hours/week.

Our client has a preference for local candidates, but reasonable relocation assistance for extremely well qualified candidates is available.

Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in heat treatment equipment capital projects.  Additional requirements for this direct hire position include:
* Candidates must have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree.
* 5+ years of solid experience with heat treatment furnace design is strongly preferred.  Candidates with solid experience in similar industries of thermal equipment engineering experience will be considered (i.e. thermal incinerators, regenerative thermal oxidizers, etc.).
* Candidates must have solid CAD design skills for heat treatment capital equipment, strong preference for candidates with Autodesk 2D or Solidworks 3D skills.
* Solid engineering knowledge of metallurgical properties, heat transfer, and typical automation and conveyor knowledge is strongly preferred.
* Additional desirable skills include knowledge of high temperature material properties, pneumatic power systems, motor selection, mechanical controls, and refractory materials.
* Candidates will be leading projects, and will need to have demonstrated skills customer contract and leadership as a Project Engineer or Project Manager on cradle to grave capital equipment projects.
* Solid verbal and written communication skills are required.
* This position will require some to attend international technology meetings.
