The position is with a very reputable and stable company located in Troy, MI. The position is paying up to $90k annually, depending on experience.
Please note, this position REQUIRES that you have experience implementing Hyperion.
The role of the Project Manager position is to plan, execute and finalize corporate projects and initiatives. This requires that you strictly manage your time as well as provide direction and management to others on your project team. You are tasked with diligently meeting the customer’s requirements while meeting budget and time frame guidelines. The specific details of the position are as follow:
Business Responsibilities

- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan, schedule and track project milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, scope documentation and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Coordinate the selection, purchase, installation, and implementation of new technologies and system enhancements.
- Plan, create and track budgets at the project and program level.
- Fully understand business goals and operational issues and look to resolve these with adequate technologies.
- Create, maintain and grow relationships with current or potential vendors.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Leadership Responsibilities & Position Complexity
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal customer base, vendors, and other internal technical support personnel to provide strong project management services.
- Very strong independent thinking is required and the project manager will apply his or her own judgment within set limits.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within project teams.
- Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Provide some leadership to less experienced team members.
- Perform all responsibilities within the guidelines of company policies and directives at or above company’s performance and evaluation standards.
- This position may require supervision of other company employees.
- This position receives minimal direct guidance & supervision.
Education & Experience
- BS or BA degree in computer science, mathematics, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five+ years project management experience including enterprise application implementation projects.
- Some technical experience recommended.
- PMP Certification is recommended
Business Prerequisites
- Very strong writing skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar project tracking and planning tool.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Must posess experience with implementing Hyperion.
