Detailed Description:
Responsible for all aspects of project management, from concept to the commissioning of new pipeline, including engineering, construction, quality, cost control, procurement, survey and commercial interfaces. Incumbents in this job may be based outside the Company’s headquarters state; extensive travel may be required. Span of control: approximately 5-15 FTEs (direct, second-level, contractors, etc.).

Key Accountabilities:
-Performs or guides & ensures the accomplishment of the following core management functions for a given business unit (BU) – or group within that BU: planning, organizing, directing, staffing/ employee selection & performance management, coordinating, reporting & budgeting. Staff may include contractors as well as Company or subsidiary employees. Coordinates the activities of multiple workgroups.
-Interfaces with customers and commercial team on project schedules and execution; leads all aspects of scheduling and cost control.
-Manages project engineering and construction, including pipeline, compression, gas dehydration and gathering from concept to the project’s commissioning.
-Provides reporting and accountability to Finance team.
-Responsible for the health, safety and environmental activities relevant to the project(s) that impact the workforce and community.
-Responsible for environmental permitting, procurement, right of way (ROW) and survey activities.
-Conducts project risk assessments; develops project risk management plans for corporate management.


-MINIMUM: Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, chemical or other related engineering-specific discipline, & the knowledge / capabilities typically acquired through 7-plus years of job-relevant experience, inclusive of 3-plus years of senior-level, project manager or supervisory experience involving large scale engineering projects. Ability to travel & report for work at different locations; incumbents are responsible for their own transportation.

-PREFERRED: Graduate engineering degree; Professional Engineer (PE) and/or project management certification; experience in gas or oil industry projects – pipeline design, construction, compression, gas processing, field operations, project estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring – with applicable scheduling software (e.g. Primavera).
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Communicates effectively with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the Corporation; consulting and influencing skills consistent with the ability to build relationships and influence parties; may include getting parties to embrace changing expectations and initiatives.
-Analytical & problem-solving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions for various situations.
-Ability to develop/coordinate cross-functional work groups and projects, yielding optimal outcomes.
-Ability to conduct effective & efficient meetings; manages meetings with optimal results.
-Flexibility & the ability to work with shifting priorities; embrace new and evolving responsibilities.
-Balances multiple demands from superiors, and/or subordinates & peers in a positive and even-handed fashion; displays a calm demeanor under pressure.
-Motivates through “leading by example”, coaching/mentoring and providing ongoing constructive feedback to subordinate staff; competent in systematically eliciting the best efforts & results from subordinate staff.

Compression/gas dehydration experience is desired. May consider chemical processing or refinery facilities experience as well. Must have strong work history.
