Marketing Specialist
Michigan Schools & Government Credit Union (MSGCU) has an immediate opening for a marketing specialist and is currently seeking a talented professional to support all marketing functions at its corporate office located in Clinton Township.
The selected applicant will develop, edit and coordinate approvals and distribution of printed marketing communications and seminar preparation and event planning, as well as assist with website and other technology updates. This role will also be a key contributor for both tactical and strategic marketing campaigns and direct marketing efforts and is accountable for the copywriting and distribution of public relations communications and vendor relationships.
Requirements include a minimum of an Associate’s Degree with emphasis in Marketing, Business or Journalism and/or a closely related field and two years of relevant work experience in advertising, marketing, communications and/or public relations. Solid, creative copywriting, copyediting and verbal communication skills are a must. Working knowledge and exposure to Adobe Dreamweaver or other web design software, Adobe Photoshop, plus Adobe InDesign or Quark are necessary for work product. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as a proven ability to learn and use current and upcoming web design technologies will be essential.
The selected candidate will be required to occasionally travel/drive throughout the Credit Union’s service areas of Southeast Michigan and must possess a valid driver’s license as well as be willing to submit to a comprehensive background, credit and reference screening verification.
