Location: Auburn Hills, MI area
Base Compensation: $85K-$120K/Year

Position Summary:
Program Managers are responsible for managing multiple projects, meeting OEM customer demands, achieving overall project timing and meeting financial targets. This role works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders from product development (filtration systems) through production and is the primary point of communication between the OEM customer and the team, reporting to the Director of Program Management.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Project management from inception to completion, ensuring that programs launch on time and meet deliverables.
  • Meet profitability, capital, and tooling recovery financial targets at launch.
  • Oversee functional areas during development by facilitating departmental team cohesiveness to ensure key deliverables are met (Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Industrialization, Finance, Quality and Production).
  • Ensure cross-functional involvement in quality processes to improve launch quality.
  • Monitor timing, quality, technical and financial risks and issues on assigned projects. Mitigate risks or resolve issues where possible. Elevate and focus management attention when there is not timely resolution.
  • Ensure that timely and accurate Gate Reviews and routine reports are conducted on assigned projects, using these tools to expose risks and elevate issues.
  • Determine post launch profitability (as reported by the plants) as early as possible in development, and understand and report gaps to business case profitability. Identify systemic differences.
  • Use reporting tools as directed, i.e. program status, financials

Position Requirements:

  • Must be sensitive to customer(s) needs and communicate them internally to ensure the company maintains a competitive position.
  • The job requires flexibility, international travel and overtime and will often expose the candidate to high pressure conditions.
  • 5+ years of cross-functional Program Management experience in the automotive industry (from the Tier 1 supplier manufacturing perspective)
  • Experience working with OEM customers (Ford experience desired)
  • Proven record of managing several programs from sourcing to production.
  • BS in engineering or related field preferred
  • Strong leadership skills are key
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency are a plus
