Main Street Franklin (MSF) and Historical Franklin Fund (HHF) are recruiting for a Part-Time Executive Director.  The position is posted on the MiTalent Connect website under Job Order #4550879.  See the attachment or below for job details.
The Executive Director coordinates activities for Franklin’s downtown revitalization under the direction of two volunteer Boards and in partnership with government officials, business and property owners and civic leaders, while maintaining Franklin’s historic character and rural atmosphere. The Executive Director is the principal on-site staff person responsible for the development, conduct, execution and documentation of the Main Street program.
Ongoing duties:
Coordinate Annual Committee action planning process
Manage administrative aspects of MSF / HFF: record keeping, accounting, purchasing, budget development, reporting.
Oversee and Assist Strategy creation and implementation
Economic strategy based on coexistence of economic development and historic preservation
Volunteer improvement process for optimal utilization, empowerment and identification of current and prospective resources.
Key face of MSF in interface with media, agencies, property and business owners.
Important skills:
Website management
Excellent communications
Good prioritization
Self starting
Experience in historic preservation
Experience in economic development
Experience in non-profit organizations
Familiarity with Main Street principles
Note: This is a part-time contract, approximately 20 hours / week, without benefits
Position is currently vacant. Boards expect to fill position in early 2014. Desire a start date by January 31, 2014.
