The St. Joe’s Workshop Education and Networking Group is scheduled to meet on Thursday March 11th in the Pastoral Center from 7-9 PM. We are pleased to announce a guest speaker for this meeting….
Matt Paquette is an FAA inspector who volunteers with the Downriver Vicariate Career Transition Team. His presentation is on how to navigate and apply for jobs on USAJOBS, or jobs with the Government. The seminar is free; however there is a booklet detailing the information presented that costs $20. The booklet purchase is NOT mandatory, but it can make your life easier once you are trying to navigate through the application process by yourself. The manual is full of valuable info, and has step by step directions, with illustrations, on how to navigate and apply for jobs with USAJOBS. It also shows how to build answers to the questions you encounter when applying @ usajobs, and it also has step by step instructions on how to put together a resume, and cover letter It contains a link that lists every federal, state, county, and city government website…coast to coast, which can be used to search for government jobs and provides useful information for veterans, and civilians with disabilities. This presentation has been well received by numerous attendees in the metro Detroit area.
